CL1   The inside of the Church has not changed much since this picture was originally taken and sold as a postcard. The Church was built by Lord Hungerford and completed in 1372. Its style is early perpendicular with one of the finest towers in the West Country. It is dedicated to St Julian's the Hospitaller whose stone carved figure nestles in a niche above the porch. His day is 17 October. All this, and much much more, is described by L W Fussell.

CL2   Reverend Le G G Horton-Starkie who was the incumbent between 1886 and 1944. He was instrumental in obtaining the cemetery near the field known as Old England in 1900 and new water supplies for Wellow , Shoscombe and Peasdown in 1895, 1898 and 1907 respectively. He was also influential in adding the Infant's Departments to the Wellow and Shoscombe schools in 1893 and 1894.

CL3   The Rectory directly across the road from the Church.
