Queen Victoria on 1 July 1897. Violet Cosh describes a
procession and sheep roasting with humour. The notice on The
New Inn tells us that beer was brewed on the premise
at this time |

I don't know what this celebration is. However, the
clues are that William Cole's memorial is in place, which
sets it after 1907, but the thatch is still on Weaver's
Farm. |
